Second world war was one of the worst disaster that ever happened in
this world. At that time, a part of
Japan was shattered. But do you know the first question which was asked by the
emperor of Japan ? The number of soldier ? No. His familiy ? No of course. But
how many teachers were still alive ?
Ladies and gentlemen, based on that history we can conclude that
teachers were really important. And it is same nowdays. Like it or not, we have
to realize that teachers are really important in our live because they will
lead us, teach us, and determined which door will be opened for our future.
Beside teacher, there are other aspect which also should be more
considered as one of factor for our succes. Brother and sister, as I say
teachers are really important. But we must remember that teachers just the
second element in the process of learning in our journey. How could I said so ?
Let’s back to the time when we were borned. Will we meet our teacher in
the kindergarden immediately ? No, that’s imposible. Let’s remember who hold us
at the very first time. Put our little body on the chest. Kissed our face when
we were still crying. Then who is the person that gave the first ‘azan’ for
those who are Moslem. Let’s remember two
person, or at least, a person that met
us in the very first beginning. They are the person who are proper to be the
first teacher for every one. Who are they ? Yes, they are our parent.
Ladies and gentlement,
Parent and teacher are the tools to get our goal. Being a modern
country is our big dream. It is not a simple thing to be thought. We need a
good weapon to get it. As like a soldier, when they wanna shoot the target, he
must have a good weapon. But his weapon is nothing if he himself is not good
enough to use that weapon. This analogy show us that if we wanna get our dream,
we must have a good generation to fight in the future. But impossible to create a good generation if
the creator are not good enough to do it. Who are the creator ? Parents and
teachers.
But my loving audience, being a good parent or teacher is not easy as
we expected. They play an important role to educated young generation to be
good person. They have big responsibilty in teaching the children about
knowledges, etiquettes, attitudes, and many others. How to respect other, how
to communicate other, how to socialize with other, and other things whic are
really needed by us in the future. Just
parent and teacher who can give them for us.
Based on that reason thats why like it or not we have to realize that
respecting teachers and parents are really important.
But nowday, there are many problems which are happen to humiliate those
important person. We really keep our attitude when we meet a person that has
high positon. We respect them. But we forget or we don’t have any awareness to
respect parents and teacher. Whereas we know parents and teachers are the
person that should be more respected than president.
Mr. Samhudi, teacher from Malang. He should be put in jail just because
he pinch his student. Lets count how many teachers that have been punished
whereas actually they did so just want to educate the student. Let’s count how
many parents have been hit by their children just because of a simple reason,
like they can’t buy a motorcycle for the
children. That’s so bad right ?
Ladies and gentlement,
Social life between parent, teachers, and children is like circumtance.
They are influnced by each other. So, for parent or teachers should give a good
example for the children because it will be imitated. While for children, they
should realize that parent and teacher are really important because they will
also determine our succes. You know, children or teenagers are like a baby. A baby always need his parent’s hand to walk.
Chidren and teenagers also. They need parent to face, arrange, and live their
life.
Based on that statement, I do believe that we have to respect our
parent. We need to respect teacher. Because they are the person who will shape
teenagers to lead this nation.
